Drew Lock put some excitement into the New York Giants’ offense on Thanksgiving. The quarterback, replacing a sore and inactive Tommy DeVito, took off on a scramble on the Giants’ first drive. It looked like a 30-yard TD run but review dashed that. On the next play Tyrone Tracy Jr. punched it in for a 7-3 New York lead.

Drew Lock is slated to get the Thanksgiving Day start for the Giants against the host Dallas Cowboys on Thursday with Tommy DeVito (forearm; questionable) being the emergency third quarterback.

While the rest of us are eating turkey and stuffing on Thursday, the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears will be facing off for a Thanksgiving divisional showdown. Detroit has a long tradition of hosting one of the Thanksgiving games and this year it's Chicago who will be visiting Ford Field.

Quarterback Caleb Williams has rewritten the Chicago Bears rookie record books. Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell previewed the Williams'' composed play and said "the last two games I really feel like he’s taken off.
