Providence crews knocked down a fire at a multi-family home in the area of Monticello Street Friday afternoon. Fire Chief Derek Silva said three people are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries including one firefighter.

(WJAR) — Providence police said two people were injured after an alleged altercation on Friday. According to police, they were called to Battey and Vernon Streets for reports of a 23-year-old and 28-year-old involved in an altercation. Police said both fled the scene, but were later treated at Rhode Island Hospital.
