The Phillies optioned Johan Rojas to Triple-A and placed Daniel Robert on the IL to make room for newly acquired Harrison Bader and Jhoan Duran.

PHILADELPHIA – The Phillies welcomed trade deadline signees Jhoan Duran and Harrison Bader into the fold Friday. To make room, Johan Rojas was optioned to Triple A, and Daniel Robert went on the 15-day injured list with a right middle finger blister.

Harrison Bader and Jhoan Duran have joined the Phillies, adding depth as the team chases a pennant. Bader, a strong defender and 2021 Gold Glove winner, will platoon in center field with Brandon Marsh.

When asked about the confrontation with Harper during a visit to Wrigley Field, though, Manfred downplayed the issue with four simple words: "Not all that significant," Manfred said, per Rogers.

Manfred: “It was an individual picking a particular way to express himself. And I don’t think you need to make more out of that than that."

The Phillies have a lot to assess, including whether it’s time to bring up prized prospect Justin Crawford and Max Kepler’s future on the roster.
