The severe threat on Tuesday afternoon and evening will primarily be focused over eastern portions of the viewing area, with cooler temperatures on Tuesday due to the front. Highs will range from the mid-60s across the northern portion of the viewing area to the low 80s across our southern zones.

Monday's severe weather moving through Minnesota is creating dangerous conditions. According to the National Weather Service, a tornado was observed near Fairmont, Minnesota on Monday afternoon. The federal agency says it also received "multiple tornado reports" near Winnebago in Faribault County.

Forecasters are warning that damaging winds, large hail, and even tornadoes could hammer the upper Midwest on Monday.
