Chitwan Rhinos defeated Kathmandu Gurkhas by five wickets at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Monday in the opening match of the both the teams in the inaugural season of the Nepal Premier League 2024.

Chitwan Rhinos kicked off their Nepal Premier League (NPL) campaign with a strong performance, defeating Kathmandu Gurkhas by five wickets at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, in Kirtipur.

Shankar Rana’s 16 off 17 balls provided a glimmer of hope, but Amar Routela’s precise bowling ensured his departure. Dan Douthwaite chipped in with 19 off 18 towards the end, but the Gurkhas ultimately limped to 111-9 in their 20 overs.
