A 26-year-old man is in prison after driving the wrong way on Interstate 94 and having a breath alcohol content over three times the legal limit, sheriff says.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says it received multiple reports of a wrong way driver on I-94 at around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. Deputies found the vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lane near Mile Marker 106 and blocked it using patrol cars.

A 54-year-old Chicago man has been identified as the wrong-way driver killed early Thursday on U.S. 30 after colliding head-on with another vehicle and then being struck by other several other vehicles,

The Osakis driver's breath-alcohol content was three and a half times the legal limit, according to the sheriff's office.
