Most climate scientists are certain that global warming has played a critical role in the California wildfires, despite political posturing.

"These are not once-in-100-year events anymore." As the planet's temperatures continue to rise, climate experts say extreme weather is more likely to cause historic events like we're seeing with the Southern California fires.
